Great opportunity to Differentlyabled community by Samarthanam

Guntur: Great opportunity to the differently-abled community Samarthanam Trust, a Non-Profit Organization headquartered in Bengaluru, launched the ‘Higher Education Program’ at Guntur and Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh.

The event was flagged off by Shri Mahantesh G.K, Founder Managing Trustee of Samarthanam and Smt K.G.V. Saritha, ACP, Andhra Pradesh Police, Smt T Rajani, Hon’ble Justice of High Court and Shri M V V Satyanarayana. Shri G Siva Ram, Dr M Radha Krishna Murthy, Shri J Ranga Raju, Shri Pabbaraju Venkateswara Rao were also present at the ceremony. The Higher Education Program is an initiative of Samarthanam Trust and is set-up in the cities of Guntur and Ananthapur with the support of DXC Technology.

The program is to provide higher education support to more than 150 students with different abilities and the underprivileged students (Below Poverty Line category students). Samarthanam Trust is an organization supporting people with different abilities with its seven diverse initiatives striving to provide the best for the differently-abled community and making them stand independent. The Higher Education Program by Samarthanam is currently active in 8 cities and now is being launched in Guntur and Ananthapur (Andhra Pradesh).

“I am thankful to DXC Technology for their generous support and believing in our efforts. We are glad to support these ambitious students who have defied all odds to reach this stage. I am certain that going further they would mark their way up with remarkable achievements,” said Mahantesh GK, Founder Managing Trustee of Samarthanam.

“Differently-abled students, despite their different abilities, have the potential to excel in any field when provided with support. Samarthanam has taken up the job of empowering the differently-abled community and I greatly appreciate the work,” said K.G.V. Saritha, ACP, Andhra Pradesh Police. Samarthanam’s Higher Education Programme supports students with tuition fee, digital audiobooks, scribes, tutors and hostel facilities enabling young men and women to pursue higher education and complete their career goals.

This Higher Education Program will actively provide support to students across 10 locations including Bengaluru, Ballari, Belagavi, Delhi, Dharwad, Gadag, Pune, Hyderabad, Guntur, and Ananthapur. “This an excellent opportunity like never before for the differently-abled students. There are support programs provided by Government and other institutions but his initiative is very friendly to grass level students,” said MRK Parama Hamsa, President of Samarthanam AP chapter, Founder of Souris Seva Foundation, Philanthropist, Cricketer, President of LEA.

“For a student with a different ability and hailing from poor family background, it is highly difficult to pursue higher studies like MBA, Graduation, PG or MCA. We are talking about thousands of bright students and the initiative by Samarthanam is making easy for the students. A special mention of Mahantesh GK, who is making the lives of the differently-abled independent and self-sustaining,” said Shri Ajay Kumar Reddy, the Captain of Indian Blind cricket team.

Shri PVK Srinivas, the Regional Manager of Samarthanam AP called out for the interested students who wish to pursue higher education at any level. “We are currently supporting 150 beneficiaries through Free Residential Higher Education Program with the help of DXC Technology at Guntur. I would like to thank the supporters of Samarthanam who have played a pivotal role in changing the lives of the differently-abled,” he added.
